Our first sparkling rosé wine is fruit forward and complex with a dry, crisp finish and won a Silver Medal at the 2024 Rodeo Uncorked! International Wine Competition. This is our second iteration in this crowd-pleasing sparkling wine!
Crafted from traditional Champagne grape varietals grown in California's cool North Coast (Napa Valley and Mendocino), our first sparkling rosé wine is fruit forward and complex with a dry, crisp finish. The character of the wine is strongly influenced by bright, flavorful Pinot Noir grown along the coast from Napa County to northern Marin County. A few small lots of Pinot Noir are fermented in contact with their skins to add depth and subtle color to this vibrant sparkling wine. Chardonnay gives spice, structure and length on the palate. This wine has vibrant acidity and small effervescent bubbles balanced with a creamy texture and luxurious finish.
Hand picking and gentle pressing preserve the wine's gentle aromas. After blending, we took the finished still wine through methode traditionelle, a second fermentation in the bottle. We then aged the wine on its yeast lees for one year to achieve refined effervescence and toastiness.
